Uses extremely low dose X-Rays to measure the bone density of the spine or hip.
Bone Density tests are used to assess the strength of one’s bones. This is achieved by using a very small amount of xray on the lumbar spine and the hip. Your doctor typically orders this test to assess for osteoporosis. There is no special preparation required for a BMD
